The solution delivers seamless tracking, granular planning, and flexible allocation of time-based and monetary items directly within operational workflows.

ASCHHEIM, GERMANY – November 5, 2026 – iET Solutions, a leading provider of ITSM and software asset management solutions, announces the general availability of its major release iET® ITSM 10.2.0. The centerpiece of this version is the completely redesigned and natively embedded Financial Management module. With this enhancement, the company bridges the gap between day-to-day IT service operations and financial control: IT organizations can now transparently plan budgets, document effort alongside live service records, and transfer data directly for settlement to higher-level ERP and financial platforms such as SAP® software.

End-to-end cost control across core service disciplines The modernized Financial Management module enhances the core processes incident management, problem management, change management, and release management with dedicated, standardized tabs for billing and cost planning. This allows organizations to track both time expenditure and monetary costs – ranging from minute-precise labor to travel expenses and material costs – directly within the relevant ticket or record.

The module accommodates internal staff time as well as service hours and invoice amounts submitted by customer or external supplier contacts. For maximum governance, cost logging within change and release management can be dynamically restricted to authorized status values or lifecycle phases.

Flexible cost planning and automated threshold monitoring A pivotal capability of the module is multi-level expense planning. Budgets can be established either at a high level across broad categories or mapped with granular precision using hierarchical category trees and specific contact types. Any newly logged records are reconciled automatically against active financial plans:

  • Structured assignment: If a matching category is identified, the billing entry is allocated immediately; otherwise, it is systematically mapped to corresponding higher tiers of the category tree.

  • Proactive notifications: If recorded costs threaten to exceed approved thresholds, the responsible parties receive an email with all necessary details.

  • Manual reallocation: Process owners retain the flexibility to reassign logged entries between plans as needed to optimize fund utilization and prevent false alerts.

Accounting integration: from operations to settlement Via the dedicated "Financial Management" workspace, finance and IT teams prepare compiled performance metrics for billing and intercompany charging. iET® ITSM 10.2.0 supports existing controlling structures through native fields for internal account assignments – such as orders in SAP® systems used to track and allocate overhead to specific initiatives – as well as enhanced cost center attributes (business unit, customer account, consignee).

Billable records can be filtered, aggregated into collective invoices, and tracked throughout their billing lifecycle. In addition, an intuitive template-driven copy-and-paste import facility simplifies reconciling invoice references and booking records from external spreadsheets or ERP settlement feedback.

"IT organizations are under unprecedented pressure to quantify their business contribution and assign costs accurately based on actual consumption," explains Mathias Langmeier, who oversees the group's operational activities across the DACH region as the new Head of Operations. "With the major release iET® ITSM 10.2.0 and our redesigned Financial Management module, we are equipping IT leaders and financial controllers with a powerful tool. Teams can capture expenditures precisely where they originate – within the ticket or the change – maintain live visibility into budget health, and build a trusted foundation for corporate billing."

Deployment and configuration System administrators also benefit from extensive configuration options: categorization structures, billing methods (including billable status flags), lifecycle phase controls, and import profiles can all be customized to match enterprise policies.

A personalized live demonstration of the latest version can be arranged starting today.
