UNICOM Global sponsored and conducted a Technology Career Fair to recruit qualified candidates to expand the Company’s presence in California and continued commitment to the worldwide technology sectors it serves. The Career Fair was held Saturday, May 3, 2014 in Los Angeles and was co-sponsored by KFI AM 640 radio.
UNICOM Global’s founder, president and CEO, Mr. Corry Hong, said he was excited at the breadth and talent of several of the hundreds of applicants which participated in the Company’s effort to add new jobs across several disciplines. Candidates were interviewed for positions including Internet, mainframe and client/server development, M&A specialists, legal and financial professionals and business development and account executives.
“I founded UNICOM in 1981 with a belief that we would build a world-class technology company which would change the industry,” said Mr. Hong. “It’s been a very exciting journey and our explosive growth now has created the opportunity for many new jobs to expand our footprint and take the Company to the next level. I am personally committed to creating jobs in the U.S. and in California, which has been our base since our founding. It’s a great opportunity for us, our customers and qualified candidates.”
Through its California Initiative program, UNICOM Global is also focused on offering turnkey technology solutions and services to California-based companies, and agencies of California state, and local government and educational institutions. Qualified candidates recruited through the Career Fair will have the opportunity to play a key role in expanding this program to fulfill UNICOM’s commitment to giving back to the state which has played a key role in the Company’s success.
